Sunbrite Solutions, manufacturer of advanced lighting systems for off-road, marine and tactical environments, has rebranded as Boss Lighting after its recent acquisition by Nashville, Tennessee-based Manufacturing Corporation of America.

The company is in the process of relocating to a 7,500-square-foot facility on Old Burnt Store Road in unincorporated Punta Gorda, moving from its previous site on Airpark Drive near Punta Gorda Airport. The transition began May 19.

Jim Grady, founder of Sunbrite Solutions, will stay on as president and is hiring and expanding the staff. He hopes to have a staff of 25 by the fall and a staff of 60 next year.

Terms of the acquisition weren’t disclosed.

MCA is an investor-owned, industrial-focused business that owns Boss Lighting and acquires legacy industrial manufacturing businesses with the goal of preserving their heritage and expertise while fostering innovation and growth.

“With each strategic acquisition, MCA strengthens its position as an industry leader and contributes to the prosperity of American manufacturing,” company officials said.

Grady emphasized that Boss Lighting’s products are manufactured in Punta Gorda, meaning they will remain free from tariffs.

“We’ve spent over two decades engineering lighting systems that outperform and outlast anything else on the market,” Grady said.

“With MCA’s partnership, we’re scaling that legacy while staying true to what makes Boss Lighting different: unmatched performance, precision craftsmanship and a drive to innovate where others settle.”

The rebrand comes amid rising demand for high-performance, American-made lighting systems across land vehicles, marine navigation and tactical sectors, MCA officials said.

The company projects the off-highway lighting market will grow from $1.3 billion in 2025 to $2.58 billion by 2034. The marine lighting market is expected to rise from $449.8 million this year to $654.3 million by 2032, and the military lighting market is forecasted to grow from $559 million to $807 million by 2027.

“Boss Lighting is built on a foundation of innovation and quality,” said Steve Austin, CEO of Manufacturing Corporation of America. “With MCA’s resources behind them, we’re not just scaling production. We’re raising the bar for what performance lighting should be. It is the next serious contender in the industry, and we’re proud to back it.”

Grady said his products are “the brightest lights in the world – period.”

Starting out as a marine lighting manufacturer, Sunbrite Solutions expanded into overland vehicles, such as all-terrain vehicles, motorhomes and large trucks, and the company is now moving into military applications.

Boaters using his lights “can see channel markers 2 nautical miles away,” he said.

Since the lights are dimmable, they can be quickly lowered or completely shut off when other vessels or vehicles approach.

Its American-made, CNC-machined, fully dimmable LED solutions are built to withstand the most extreme environments.
