UPDATE: Aldi is delaying the store’s opening until next month. It has not rescheduled a specific opening date in March for its fourth store in Collier County but reports that the postponement was necessary “to ensure our new Naples, Florida, store provides customers with the best shopping experience possible,” said Chris Hewitt, ALDI’s regional vice president for the area that includes Southwest Florida. “We are pleased to confirm the new Naples, Florida, store will open next month. ALDI looks forward to serving even more Naples residents by providing the high-quality, fresh foods that they love, at low prices every day. At this time, we don’t have details to share about the rescheduling, but will be in touch once additional information is available,” Hewitt said.

A new Aldi grocery store and a Chick-fil-A restaurant are both targeted to launch Feb. 10 in front of Addison Place luxury apartments on the north side of Immokalee Road just west of Collier Boulevard in North Naples.

The fourth Collier County location for Aldi is part of the company’s aggressive national expansion. ALDI operates more than 2,100 stores in 37 states and is on track to become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of this year.

“ALDI is one of America’s fastest-growing retailers because we offer a convenient shopping experience for affordable, on-trend and sustainable goods,” said Chris Hewitt, ALDI’s regional vice president for the area that includes Southwest Florida. “We have served this community for more than five years and look forward to continuing to offer Naples’ residents high-quality, fresh foods and low prices in every ALDI aisle, every day.”

At 19,344 square feet, the new store is representative of the smaller footprint of the unique discount grocer. More than 90% of Aldi’s products are its exclusive, private label brands. Shoppers must deposit a quarter to unlock a shopping cart but customers get their quarter back when they return the cart. ALDI also does not supply free grocery bags; shoppers may bring reusable bags, purchase paper bags there or use cardboard boxes provided in the store.

During the store’s grand opening, ALDI is offering customers the chance to win a $500 ALDI gift card by scanning a QR code with their mobile devices at the new store, which will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 10. The new Aldi, 8660 Addison Place Drive, will be open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.

Meanwhile, the new 4,894-square-foot Chick-fil-A will have 106 seats for dining in as well as a double-lane drive-thru with a covered porte-cochère for vehicles picking up orders, said Chip Hudson, operator of the third franchise for the Chick-fil-A fast-casual chain in Collier County. “We will have a drive-thru door — not a window — to be able to serve all our guests quickly in both lanes. We also have a canopy cover on the back of the building,” said Hudson, who previously operated the longtime location at Coastland Center mall in Naples.

Chick-fil-A, 8610 Addison Place Drive, will be open 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays.

Sandwiched between Chick-fil-A and Aldi, Gordon Pocialik, DMD, began offering dental services Dec. 29 at Dental Care at Addison Place, a full-service, family practice in a 4,260-square-foot building that is part of Heartland Dental, a nationwide dental support organization.

Pocialik earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in Detroit and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association and the West Coast District Dental Association.

“Dental health is vital to overall health, so we want to help our patients make the best decisions for their care,” Pocialik said. “We plan to educate patients on the importance of dental care and encourage them to adopt an ongoing preventative care routine.”

The new dental office, 8644 Addison Place, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
