Lots of lots are being cleared across Lee County and being prepared for construction.
In Lehigh Acres, two new fast-casual restaurants are being planned. A Zaxby’s restaurant is in the works for the southwest corner of Westgate and Lee boulevards. The plans call for a 3,000-square-foot building with parking and landscape, to be called the Zaxby’s Shoppes at Westgate. Meanwhile, a 2,500-square-foot Panda Express restaurant is planned for 2523 Lee Blvd.
One area that’s getting a litany of rooftops is at the crossroads of State Road 82 and Lee Boulevard, which serves as the western gateway to Lehigh Acres.
Asher Park, on the north side of where those roads cross, is a D.R. Horton-planned community of single-family homes and townhomes, according to city of Fort Myers records.
Just across State Road 82 from that project, west of where those two roads cross, are two more projects.Novo, which will consist of 290 apartment units and 74 townhomes, is under construction now.
Just to the north of Novo, another multifamily project is being planned. Sherwood Emblem will be a 336-unit apartment complex that will have a commercial component to it as well, records show.
