In Italian, the word brio means lively, but Brio Italian Grille is no longer alive in Naples, Florida.
The restaurant's location at Waterside Shops permanently closed April 12. After operating for 20 years at the open-air mall, Brio’s lease was not renewed in order to introduce a new restaurant there.
Arizona-based Buck & Rider seafood restaurant plans to open in late 2026 or early 2027 at 5505 Tamiami Trail N.
Another new restaurant, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, is targeted to open this summer on an outparcel lot at Waterside Shops.
While diners won’t be able to enjoy Brio’s beef carpaccio, salmon salad or shrimp and eggplant appetizer in Naples, the Tuscan-inspired restaurant concept has other Florida locations still operating in Palm Beach Gardens, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Sarasota and Tampa. The Orlando-based chain has 20 locations across Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas and Utah.
