A larger Valvoline Instant Oil Change is taking shape on the edge of the industrial park north of Pine Ridge Road in Naples and is targeted to open soon in the new year.
The local lube center temporarily closed mid-summer and the two-bay garage soon was demolished ahead of a redevelopment project to create a larger location for Valvoline at 1891 Pine Ridge Road, just east of Shirley Street. “We tore down our existing building and are building a new four-bay location,” said Cindy L. Hudson, associate director of marketing and sales for Henley Enterprises Inc., a Massachusetts-based firm that promotes itself as the largest franchisee of Valvoline Instant Oil Change.
The new 2,550-square-foot quick-lube service center is targeted to open in late January, Hudson said. In addition to doubling its number of bays, the overhead doors and garage in the redeveloped business will be relocated from the eastern end of the building to its western end.
The original 1,367-square-foot business was built in 1985 by Swift Oil Change, a longtime locally owned enterprise in Naples. The business was branded as Penzoil until 2019, when Swift sold the property for $840,000 to SSL Properties LLC, affiliated with Henley Enterprises.
Interestingly, Valvoline Instant Oil Change operates a second two-bay location less than a half-mile away on Pine Ridge Road. That location at 2257 Pine Ridge will continue to operate in front of Home Depot even after the newly redeveloped one opens, the company claims.
