Located less than 3 miles apart off Daniels Parkway, Dermani Medspa and VIO Med Spa offer many of the same products and services, with or without the optional monthly memberships, from vitamin injections, IV fluid treatments, facials and injectables.
They’re part of a growing trend, with VIO Med Spa’s number of franchise locations expected to grow from 57 to about 200 over the next year.
Dermani Medspa, founded in 2013 in Atlanta, has grown to 27 locations in eight states, with more being planned, as well.
VIO Med Spa, founded in 2017 in Strongsville, Ohio, opened its south Fort Myers location Jan. 9 at 6921 Daniels Parkway.
Dermani Medspa at 8911 Daniels Parkway opened about a year ago. Three weeks ago, it introduced intravenous fluid treatments that were requested by many clients, said Mike Stark, owner of the Fort Myers location.
“The whole introduction of IV is new for us,” Stark said. “We just started down the road of what value can we bring. A lot of people asked, ‘Can you do IV, can you do IV?’ We had always said no. But it’s a great addition.”
Dermani Medspa’s price points start at $20 for a B12 vitamin injection, $40 for various IV treatments and up to $150 to $300 for various Vitalflow IV treatments. Monthly memberships start at $30 to $60, depending on the treatment and allow members to get discounts on the treatments.
“People want these types of treatments,” Stark said. “And honestly, competition is good. It’s very important that people have options and opportunity. They can walk into one place and not like it and walk into another and love it.
“Our value is that we are affordable luxury. We have a price point for every person out there.”
At VIO Med Spa, memberships cost $99 or $149 per month, prices that give varying discounts on the offered services.
Franchise owner Marissa Kartheiser said the Fort Myers community has embraced the business in a short amount of time.
“We’re all looking for the fountain of youth,” Kartheiser said. “And I believe these med spa’s are popping up because we want to stay young.”
VIO stands for Value In Ourself, and the business offers its own brand of spa facials, injectables, skin rejuvenation and wellness treatments.
“I would want to do a wellness panel and see if you have any vitamin deficiencies,” Kartheiser said of what she would recommend to a new client.
“The Fort Myers community is really embracing this,” Kartheiser said. “We want to make people feel wonderful and happy.”
